With bright colors and a building shaped like a castle, the Hands On Children's Museum opened it's doors in October 2000 , with generous community support.  Funding is now provided by the Jacksonville community through admissions and sponsorships from individuals, small businesses and corporations.

By Summer 2006 the Hands On Children's Museum will have served over 200,000 visitors from all over.  Including over 2500 school groups, with teachers from public and private schools in Duval, St. Johns, Nassau, Clay and surrounding counties enjoying all the interactive hands-on exhibits. 

Birthday Parties are Special at the Hands On Children's Museum.  Over 2000 families have celebrated their child's birthday with us.  Making Birthday Time a Special time!

From the very beginning familes have enjoyed the benefits of Family Memberships.  We now have over 800 families  with Memberships that includes parents, children, grandparents and caregivers.  Totaling over 7000 members.
